I don't get it. The network troubleshooter says the network is fine, so does the MSN website, reporting there are no server errors. Not only that, version 2008 is logging in just fine.

I'm not sure what else to do. I have filled in an error report with Microsoft, I hope they are aware of the issues with this latest version of messenger. I will un-install it, zap it and down load version 8 again. Thanks to everyone for their sugges...

I even looked at other threads with different issues. I just tried http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/F/4/0F4D. ..s-ship-neutral.cab However it says I already have a newer version installed

Well now i am back to square 1 where the men spin around for a bit, then take me back to the sign in button. I am also now minus the ATI drivers and TV card drivers, so I guess I'll re-install those but still no luck! Talk about frustrating.
