I just upgraded to Windows XP from Vista Ultimate using my Dad's OEM SP1 disc. I put in a key from the interwebz but I haven't activated online yet. I have both a Q6600 and an 8800GT and I'd recommend you stop :p Sure you can overclock it, but you'll lose your CPU and GPU life by quite a bit. Generally, the CPU core voltage is regulated by the CPU's mounting and the discrete components needed to run it.
