You are probably suffering from a lack of memory and the slow CPU wouldn't be helping either. I think it is more of a lack of hardware than a problem with the program. I ended up uninstalling both WLM and MP!L completely and reinstalling both again after reboot since I didn't have the time for a pretty solution, right now everything runs fine on the new build. I get very similar results when plus is running, I have 0 CPU usage when Messenger is idling and about 20-25 mb ram usage.
