RE: WLM system requirements They might be... but minimum system requirements given by companies/developers are way of so many times. Never rely on them too much. I personally have a AMD Athlon XP 2600+ CPU/1.5GB RAM and even I can clearly notice WLM is slower than 7.5. WLM just... | Menthix | Tech Talk | 06-01-2006 at 02:11 PM |
RE: WLM system requirements Yes, WLM is definitely more CPU and RAM intense than MSN 7.5 was. I still hope it will get better when Microsoft releases the first non-beta version. But i'm afraid it won't get to 7.5 level or better. Those listed system requirements are just plain ... | Menthix | Tech Talk | 06-01-2006 at 02:03 PM |

RE: AMD 64 3700+ [VS] Intel 5600Ghz That is likely where it started, yes. The bottom line on this is that the only valid comparison one can make is "how much performance will $200 (or whatever I have budgeted for the CPU) buy me with Intel vs. AMD?" However, even that is not a sim... | Adeptus | Tech Talk | 05-27-2006 at 05:47 AM |
RE: AMD 64 3700+ [VS] Intel 5600Ghz The AMD proccessor becuase if im not wrong having two processors does not mean having double the speed. RE: Vista: Yes or NO? I have to admit, I reckon Vista is actually slower than my full blown KDE interface. It's a total waste of RAM and CPU cycles... I mean, it's a PC. RE: Processor load :'( The memory leak is a bug that I know of. I havn't heard about CPU being used up. WLM isn't using any of my CPU (while its inactive). Are you sure its WLM causing the problem and not something else. Also, try scanning for adware and spyware. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 05-19-2006 at 08:08 PM |
