RE: building a computer out of 2 Keep it pressed that after the BIOS screen until it cames up. About the spec... Kinda enough for XP. I just hope the CPU is 600MHz or more. If not it's going to be something slow. | YottabyteWizard | Tech Talk | 06-18-2005 at 03:59 PM |
laptop problem.... OK, my dad has a laptop but it automatically restarts itself i don't know why, i assume its the processor (because the CPU fan is on the bottom ant it heats up very fast), i have reinstalled it many times but the problem isn't fixed, here's the wo... | YottabyteWizard | Tech Talk | 06-15-2005 at 05:00 PM |

3 CPUs for Xbox 360?? I don't know if im getting this wrong, but it's true that XboX 360 will have 3 CPUs of 3.4Ghz each!? It's practically impossible that... it's too cheap to have 3!!! :'( | YottabyteWizard | Tech Talk | 06-12-2005 at 11:27 PM |
spoolsv.exe 100% CPU usage (printer problem) I've got a really stupid problem... i tried printing a file, the printer didn't print it... waited, still didn't print, meanwhile i made some changed to the word file and tried printing again (thinking i didn't press or something) but still... th... | Maniac | Tech Talk | 06-03-2005 at 06:47 PM |
RE: Power Supply question The noise problem was probably because your PSU had intelligent fan control. The PSU would lower the voltage to the fan when it detected that the temperature was lower. When you were gaming, more strain was put on the CPU, making more heat, heating u... | rav0 | Tech Talk | 06-03-2005 at 03:20 AM |

RE: Messenger Plus! for windows xp x64 AMD64 chips can run 32-bit x86 code natively, and Intel's EM64T chips will also. And you'll probably find that WinXP 64 has a 'Run in 32-bit mode' for programs like Plus!, that rely on the bitness of the PC. | RaceProUK | WLM Plus! General | 06-01-2005 at 06:07 PM |
RE: Messenger Plus! for windows xp x64 yea but it prob ran in 32 bit mode or whatever AFAIK 64bit CPUs can run 32 bit apps | Dempsey | WLM Plus! General | 06-01-2005 at 05:23 PM |
RE: Messenger Plus! for windows xp x64 Ar.. damn Intel for releasing this 64bits thingy... ok then, I promise I'll look into it in a couple of months. RE: Messenger Plus! for windows xp x64 lol... if it was just a matter of "recompile with the 64bits option enabled", that would already have been done. RE: Task manager.. Haha, I've always imagined someone complaining about a virus named "System Idle Process" which consumes all their CPU.. this came close. | segosa | Tech Talk | 05-31-2005 at 08:58 PM |

RE: Task manager.. Lol d'oh. the reason I asked was that I checked in Task Manager to see my CPU usage and the green meter showed 100%. Therefore I stupidly assumed that the idle processes were what was causing it. Incidentally, I have rebooted and my CPU usage is on ... | kierant | Tech Talk | 05-31-2005 at 07:36 PM |
RE: Task manager.. "System Idle Process" isn't a real process. That 90% is just the amount that isn't in use (idle). Task manager.. My comp is being really slow after a restart and so I checked task manager. A process called 'System Idle process' is using above 90% of the CPU constantly. Is this normal and could this be why it's slow? Thanks, sorry if it's a stupid question. | kierant | Tech Talk | 05-31-2005 at 07:06 PM |
