RE: two reputation things
This I agree with, one should be able to reply to the comments (and edit the reply if the other person edited their comment!).

RE: two reputation things
lol, I would like to give some people positive counts, because they're good posters. But I can't yet.. That's fine. Someone gave me a positive count. Sadly I can't return the favor. lol. Anyway, the second idea, I agree with. So you have a c...

RE: two reputation things
I don't agree with the below post count reputation, I think it should be there, because if a n00b is constantly spamming, then we report them, and we can give them a lower reputation for doing so. I like the second Idea part though, I think there s...

two reputation things
firstly - I don't think you should be able to vote on someone who's post count is below 100, the main reason is that if they are not allowed to vote for anyone because they dont have enough posts, we shouldnt be allowed to vote for them. Also it ca...

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
I think that automatic banning is out of the question but why do u need a warning by a mod. U will notice on your posts automatically if yr reputation changes so u'll go and read it. Then u'll automatically improve yourself by reding why they gave ...

Hmm...I disagree strongly. That'd be like if the U.S. Army took shot someone after they didnt perform well...fine, a stupid analogy, you get the drift though.

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
yes i believe it is and alright idea, but it also nt needed, im sure admin and moderators are quite capable of taking care of a few spammers

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
The mods are on here alot anyways, so it wouldnt really go unnoticed. However I think it's an allright idea.

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
We don't use a warning system here. We all keep track of who is doing what thats dodgy, spam and that kind of stuff, then when it gets to a certain stage we will temporarily ban that user. It's pretty well streamlined and well communicated between ...

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
I personally don't like the idea, even if it just triggers a warning... If a user needs warning about their behaviour a mod will notice, or even a member could just send a friendly PM to a member who is acting inappropriately. When John Anderton's ...

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
A warn level is set by mods. That is the whole point. So it shouldn't be abused.

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
yeh but anything thats automatic can be abused which is why i suggested notifying mods instead of actually automatic bannage so if the mod doesnt think they deserve it they can just ignore it

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
What? Just because someones reputation is below a certain number doesnt mean they should be banned or warned. What happens if a group of users decide to "gang up" on another user just to get them below that point? If there were to be an implementat...

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
But if a person has a bad reputation then doesnt that mean they might be doing somehting wrong? I think the idea of notifying the mods is good, then they can act as they wish. Nothing has to be done. Its just like recomemding.

RE: [suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
I don't think it is a good idea. If a moderator feel the person should be banned they should do it. They shouldn't do it because of that persons reputation.

[suggestion] staff notification on low reputation
for example say if somebody gets below [color=red]-10[/color] reputation then the mods are notified about it. at first i thought of auto-bannage but then this could be abused easily so i thought moderator notification would be better. good idea/crap ...

RE: [split] reputation system abuse
[b]Sam spade:[/b] When are you going to let this rest? The reputationsystem is there as it is. What makes you think WDZ will change it just for you? If you don't have problems with your negative rep, you wouldn't have complained about it at all. If...

RE: [split] reputation system abuse
Some members might not be able to handle the fact that they have a negative reputation, and want to ignore it. It's hard to ignore something that's next to every one of your posts. The "cleaning up the screen" excuse doesn't make much sense, si...

RE: [split] reputation system abuse
Correct me if I'm wrong here but such an option would not hide a person's reputation score from other uses; simply clean up the screen for the person that opts out (mind you, the fact that you brought up hiding age brings to mind that after seeing ...

RE: [split] reputation system abuse
Well, if I added that option, it would be just like adding options to hide post count, registration date, age, etc. Hiding avatars and signatures can really be useful, because images can be an annoying waste of bandwidth and screen space. Hiding rep...
