RE: www.youareblocked.com
I think the sticky of block checkers do not work should be translated (something very important) and posted on ALL sites IMO.

Also the advice is questionable in places. Eg the I'm sending links out to people one. That is more commonly the cause of a worm/virus rather than a keylogger or dodgy block checker site taking your password [quote] to be fair, i know quite a few p...

RE: www.youareblocked.com
Don't blockcheckers work by just checking if the person is online or not? They wouldn't need your password or your e-mail at all. A few of my friends have fallen for this. They're really really dumb though.

RE: www.youareblocked.com
Each time I'm flabbergasted to read how people simply enter their login and password just like that on a 'good' looking site... Even if blockcheckers worked, they STILL would NOT need your password!!!! Think about it, what would they be able to do...

RE: www.youareblocked.com
I have not visited the site, but it sounds like your friend was probably using the site to check who has blocked them and it does that to advertise the service before changing the user's nickname back to normal and signing out. Block checkers do not...

RE: My sister accepted a dodgy file, so know i'm sending links to all of my contacts
Try searching the Dodgy File's name in Google, with 'Removal' afterwards. So, for example, I can think of two. One which states "Hey is this you in the picture" and a link, which links to the downloading of a virus. And another called a 'Block ...

RE: Would you like to know if you're blocked, read this :)
um, if the point of blocking is to prevent some one from seeing your online status, then why would block checkers, not completely defeat that purpose? and if somebody KNOWS you've blocked them THINK BEFORE YOU POST

RE: Bypassing a "BLOCK".
Ah, but then I will know that he's attempting to see if I've blocked him. Block checkers don't work anymore, if you select the option to only let people on your allow list see your online status.:)

RE: Bypassing a "BLOCK".
He can ask a mutual contact or create a second email account and add you to see if you accept. If you have "All others" in the allow list like this.... [URL=http://img339.imageshack.us/my.php?image=unti tledtg5.jpg][IMG]http://img339.imageshack.us/...

RE: Is Messenger Plus a Virus?
The block checkers I've seen today ask for your MSN address and password so they can "check" for you. Why does it matter anyway? if someone doesn't want to talk to, that's their problem :P Why would MP!L be a virus? 68534 people can't be wrong...
