I vote for revival of Rename Contact feature. I still use MSN7.5 along with Messenger Plus's Rename Contact feature which is the utmost important feature. I can't imagine without it any more. You can only organize chat logs by date or or email. I think you want to organize them by email, to do this go to Plus > Preferences > Conversations(tab) > Chat logging(down left hand side) and select the 'Save by e-mail' radio button.
