mwe99 ever heard of proxy, like i mentioned? if proxy ist your thing then use the IP Address instead of the actualy website by using command prompt in windows xp (ie: Ping www.google.com etc..) or if the computer doesnt let you, just use remote deskt...

Yeah, but the bandwidth is a little bit less with just a redirect. The remote site serves my avatars. ;) And there's also personal convenience.

Well I don't see the point of having remote images, when having a server with PHP (Which I assume you pay and have space available). I'm sure you have 1 MB for avatars in that server.
