Yes, Windows Live Messenger has remote assistance. You should only be getting assistance from people you know and trust anyway :P

i also read that certain drivers for certain scanners support lan scanning but unless u already hve one that does or the update adds this functionality it's cheaper to use remote scan

Good enough. I'll elaborate a little though, We tested a ton of different programs for exactly this purpose. Remote scan was the only one that really worked.

That script, namely "Now Playing", CAN colour for WMP too. Just disable the "Windows Live Messenger Music Plug-in" from the Windows Media Player plug-ins. To do that, follow the WMP menu View > Plug-ins > Other > Windows Live Messenger Music Plug...

you mean ssh tunneling? yes... you pick a remote host and port, and a local port. then, localhost:[local port] will forward packets to [remote host]:[remote port]. it's pretty simple. also, you suck at writing tutorials.
