Yes, build 14.0.5027.908 is the 9.0 BETA which Messenger Plus! Live does work with. WLM 9 RC (build 14.0.8050.1202) is not compatible with Messenger Plus! Live. Messenger Plus! Live is not yet compatible with the latest build of Windows Live Messenger 14 (sometimes named version 2009 or 9).
