Let me guess, you start up WLM with or immediately after booting up your comp? And you also have automatic updates on for Windows and maybe you let NOD32 update on logon aswell. That's not possible I believe, but you can always switch to the classic start menu by going to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties > Start Menu tab > and selecting Classic Start Menu.
