It shouldn't be too hard.. I'm not sure, I'ev never done any programming with media players except Winamp... Sometimes the transfer of the emoticons are incomplete thise they show up as a blank area. Other then that if they see the text that is used for your custom emoticon then it is because their version of MSN Messenger obviously doesn't support it.
