In that case, make sure you didn't download and installed the one you could find in the official database (listed as v2.0) as that version contains a bug (and it is actually version 1.0 that is listed there). No, but it could significantly slow down Outlook (Express) (and as said previously, some Windows components depend on Windows Messenger in Windows XP). Could you explain this further? The sponsor package will add a toolbar in Internet Explorer, some desktop shortcuts, favourites and change your homepage. There is no such thing as Windows Messenger 6.0 or 6.1... It is either Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger. Both are two different programs.
