I already was afraid of this. Maybe it would be better to make plugins call "RegisterEvent(eventname, function);", to improve the performance with many plugins loaded. I was planning to make some sort of on the fly spelling checker.

Well, if the speakers have no guarranty, you may try opening the one with the volume control, check for the potenciometer (not sure if spelled that way...its the thing in which the volume knob turns), see if its broken or any loose contacts, sometime...
