Commands should be entered in a conversation window (even if they are automatically send!), but since the Messenger is locked this can't be done ([i][size=1]edit to make it clear: [/size]MANUALLY[/i]). If you go into the lock settings in Plus!, you can change your status. Which means you can also set your status as a Personalised Status.
