RE: ISO Programs
Ah, Thanks! I stand corrected. Also: Jarrod: Last time I used Nero to copy a Windows CD, it booted fine as far as I can remember (But it's been awhile).

RE: External Display as default
Some laptops won't boot off an external monitor, so you're probably better copying the files you need directly off the hard drive while it's hooked up to another computer. Best of luck to you. I have a useless laptop on my desk I've been messing ...

RE: Car Audio System
You can probably do without the sub in the back of such a tiny car. You may want to consider a set of decent 6x9 speakers in speaker boxes which would take up about half the space a 10" sub box would take. If you still want your storage space just ...

RE: Wireless router
I have two D-Link DIR-655s. One at home and one at my girlfriend's house. I find them to be excellent, and I can count the number of times the signal has dropped in the last six months at either hous...

RE: How did you discover Messenger Plus!?
I found it on Mess way back when everyone and their grandmothers were writing talkers, flooders, and whateverers for MSN. I know for sure I used 1.42b, but I could swear i used 1.20 at one point.

I normally start with an ad-blocking hosts file. http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/ Is my favorite (and the only one I can remember off the top of my head).

Which browser are you trying the link in? Perhaps try an alternate like Internet Explorer if you are currently using Firefox.

RE: please help!!
Sounds like you've forgotten your password and are trying to reset it. I'd say try the "I forgot my password" option on the passport site. You may have a better chance of it working in internet explorer. This link may help: https://accountservice...

If anyone would like to try my script, I've (hopefully) come up with a solution to this problem. If you can test this, and tell me if you still get the warnings, and if so. Under what circumstances the warnings still appear. Edit: Attachment Remove...

RE: How do I make my home machine offer proxy for my machine at school.
SSH tunneling is effective, but can be slow. It also doesn't help if you are unable to run foreign executable on a system like a school system.

RE: Feedback on XP SP3
Most of us aren't running retail software on our home computers, so this wouldn't really affect us, but it's still nice to know.

RE: Feedback on XP SP3
I've been running it on my laptop. I've only had problems with timezones, because it dosn't include the timezone fix for 2007. It was way more convenient than waiting for windows update, since I slipstreamed it into my XP cd before I installed XP.

RE: Good (free) alternatives to Sunbird?
Yes, you can. Also, with the provider extension you can sync Thunderbird's Lightning Calendar with your Google Calendar.

RE: Good (free) alternatives to Sunbird?
I would also suggest trying out Sunbird 0.8. Thunderbird 0.7 had the same time issue for me but 0.8 straightened it out great.

[Suggestion] Imap email checking
I'm not sure if this has come up before, and searching turned up nothing. I think that Imap account checking would be just as useful as POP3 checking for people who use Imap email accounts, such as gmail. Any possibility this could be implemented?
