No way man, you should keep the buttons that you put on first.  They looked kewl.  But you should use something else for the msn guy, the green thing is getting old.  Something that matches the mood of the skin.  That'd be awesome.

perfect! except one detail...i think that the background of the text which is white(under the buttons) is too bright and makes the text hard to read, but other than that....perfection!

i have an idea for skins, but duno if its possible. can u change the the link to where it takes u wen u click advertisement banner at bottom of msn window. for example, with the one attached perhaps u cud make it go to booghosts website? instead of xtramsn home.

ouch!....bad news....the links doesn't work!! it downloads but when i try to open it .. it says it's not a valid file.!! if sb could help....wuz goin' on??????

mines downloading but its going 2kb/sec....ususaly shud go at least 15

weird....... mine (actually my moms ) went faster than normally

its down to 1.5 now, been going for like 15 mins and its 44% done, only 24 mins left

ok it download but wen i run it i get an error message see the attachment

downloaded............you changed the default background to a matrix one however, it still makes the actual chat box white still and the part where you type a message

yeah i liked it better with the partly transparent text area

hey i have a suggestion, u will prolly understand it better if u have played Enter The Matrix. wen it says "Signing In" perhaps u could make it say "Jacking In" or sum shit like that..sumthin matrixy and also with those little spinning msn dudes wen it signs in, u could change them to that moving matrix green numbers.

hmm not sure wat to edit, opened msnslang in reshack and went find: Signing In... and i found sign in sign out signing in..etc and changed em and saved, but it didnt work.

oh i see u click compile. how do u edit the button on the main msn screen that says Sign In?

i had a real good lang file but i had to reinstall msn so i lost it and im to lazy to redo

post your ideas and i'll search/change them in the msgslang.dll

btw i may not change the online/offline/away/brb/... coz some ppl may get confused..... and we can change them with the name tag so there's no point

i downloaded the matrix-skin and installed it and plus! was working great

well if you have problems with MsgPlus while using Matrix Skin you can do 2 things:
1) try restarting plus.... or restarting the messenger, when this happens to me..... restarting the Plus! is enough

2)replace the original one by the skin, i mean by renaming both....:
msnmsgr.exe -> msnmsgr_original.exe
matrixskin.exe -> msnmsgr.exe

the renamed matrix skin must be put in the default messenger folder

yeah i though i had already mentioned it.... when i was making the MsgPlus! skin (never finished/uploaded) i used the old ThemeXP toolbar....
i love ThemeXP....

you have to change the name of the exe in the zip to the same name as the MSN exe and replace it with the Matrix exe (exit MSN completely before hand)


EDIT: sorry if that doesn't make much sense, i cant make sense of it easily but i am extrememly tired right now

Did the msgplus! icon changed? or is it xp that changed it with me?

thats an XP fault sometimes my comp goes weird and like, all my .exe icons change to a notepad icon or like all my .jpg icons turn to a .html icon very odd, prob just coz my comps so dumb

and to install the MatrixMSN you just install normal MSN, go to the MSN dir (Program Files\MSN Messenger) and then swap the 2 exe's and .dll's... restart msn and you done

i don't think it's just an XP fault, cuz i have that sometimes too ... and i have windows 98

farmer john i ahven't done one for the Matrix Skin but i made a very good one (it's the one i use) with the MsgPlus Logo, it's not a big job, it's very simple/basic but it looks very good with the Messenger here it is
btw it's huge to fit big resolution screens since the messenger does not resize it

np dude . Just a question, how does it commes that plus! works with the skins of darkknight but not with your skin? (I didn't replaced the original msnmsgr.exe with the one from darkknight).

this should be enough.... what OS do you have, that might be, i have XP... or maybe your MSN Messenger version is different to the Skin one....

closing plus! and reloading it doesn't work, neither does the shut down from your skin and reloading it .

I'm using windows xp and the versions are equal. A friend of mine uses win 98 and she can't use plus! either in your skin :undecided.

Okay, stupid me I downloaded Messenger 6.1...low and behold...it sucks, so I went back to 6.0 came here to download the Matrix MSN skin and it's not here, the link is but the host site sayz the page is missing, anyone know where one might get the skin now that it has dissappeared?
