Yo people! According to Neowin.net, MSN9 and MSN Messenger 6.1 betas are coming this week

Release date is still not knowh though...

Here are some (cool!!!) features goin' to be added in MSN Messenger 6.1




Change the color of your Conversation window
A WMP9 feature, passed onto MSN Messenger 6.1 to enable users to quickly change the colour of an IM window with one click. Choose a color for your Conversation window to match your background, your desktop color scheme, even your mood! Select a color to use all the time, or choose a different color for each conversation.



Hide Menubar
Another WMP9 feature, allowing users to hide the top minimise, maximise and close options



Customize your display name
Change your display name as often as you change moods. Select a new name for every conversation.
Not sure how the nickname-per-conversation thing will look like really, but it's also mentioned on the official MSN Messenger site already.



MSN Photos Plus!
Share a slideshow of photos in real time with your friend!

This thread is about new features of MSN Messenger 6.1, what you didn't yet try

it's MSN 5 or higher... no one said you have to download MSn 6.1

you can use other browsers you know a couple of them are Avant Browser, Opera, Firebird, Netscape, . . . 

God of the Devil, i agree with most of your suggestions (besides the IP one...), but... totally disagree about your critic on features you even didnt try!

For example what they say now is that you can have a DIFFERENT name for each convo. Very handy in chat convo's with your girlfriend

And color changer is not only: "use windows color theme", you can just give MSN any color you want, like Windows Media Player.... And although light blue combination is the most beautifull one (i think..), it can be boring after long time...

Other features are nice as well... But i dont bother to tak about all of them

MSN Messenger is not only for "real purpose", its also just fun, you know...

It like... er... Having sex... I think all the people do it not *only* for "real purpose", you know... Just for fun

well Mr Shady do you think there should be a compermise.. like have msn 6lite all the updates of secruity with non of the crap!

Well... So you want somethin' like MSN 5 only with security things of MSN6, right?

But... whats a difference for you of having a feature and not using it.. I mean like... If you have a feature you dont like, just dont use it, it doesnt hurt

And you'll have all the security of MSN 6

The color change feature will probably make my skins of no use to people now. Lol. Oh well, I guess. I will still be porting my skins to 6.1 if the color change feature isn't as good as we're thinking it is.

I haven't been up to date lately, so 6.1 is a normal download for everyone, right? Also, what are all the features that cost money?
