There are no visual differences, and of course, no changelog from Microsoft, so its another case of update because you ought to keep up to date RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Hekx on 11-13-2003 at 12:05 AM I might as-well update. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Sk3tch on 11-13-2003 at 12:13 AM
I would update.. but i really cant be botherd to. There going to keep updating anyways so, i think ill wait until there is some dramatic change to it. But in all fareness im glad they have made an upgrade. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by EvilSeph on 11-13-2003 at 12:16 AM
Plans for any 6.x updates are unknown at the moment and 7.0 is being developed internally. blah, patches and skins don't work, how ghey. Windows X has taken over my MSN Messenger installer..and pops up each time I try to install MSN Messenger, though it can be bypassed, its freaking annoying. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by lylesback2 on 11-13-2003 at 12:32 AM this post is from today... i changed back to msn 6.0 because msn 6.1 kept kicking me off... but i'll give it a try.. thanks RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by The_Thief on 11-13-2003 at 12:33 AM I assume no one knows what 7.0 is going to bring? RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by lylesback2 on 11-13-2003 at 12:37 AM im still getting .0155... RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Chrono on 11-13-2003 at 12:38 AM

I can use Jnrz7s loader and open 6.1.0155 while having 6.1.0202 installed. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by stonesour on 11-13-2003 at 03:50 AM
I wanna know when they're gonna get rid of this soddin message when you try to sign out with a chat window open...GRR RE: RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by DarKnight on 11-13-2003 at 04:00 AM
quote: I had it in 6.0 I don't find it annoying. Say if I have chat windows open, and I hit "exit" by mistake it warns me so I click cancel. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by CookieRevised on 11-13-2003 at 04:04 AM Darknight, does the Jnrz7s loader (non-gui) work with 6.1.0202? You say it loads 6.1.0155? Is it still installed then on your pc? RE: RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by DarKnight on 11-13-2003 at 04:09 AM
quote: I used the Jnrz 6.1.0155 GUI loader while having 6.1.0202 installed. In other version of 6.x trying to load an older version any way would bring you to an error message saying the configuration is incorrect, and to reinstall it. Now I can have 6.1.0155 running beside 6.1.0202 I find it odd but I like it. Edit: I copied the 6.1.0202 files to a different dir, then uninstalled it, and reinstalled 6.1.0155 And when I went to open the 6.1.0202 it opened. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by GiantSpider on 11-13-2003 at 04:10 PM I myself was ready for 6.2 but this is a suprise. Propably sumat just 2 keep our minds of it 4 a while RE: RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Meksilon on 11-13-2003 at 05:03 PM

quote:What are you talking about? It only takes 5 minutes to apply a skin. RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Tochjo on 11-14-2003 at 01:55 PM
quote:He probably means making one, and that takes more than 5 minutes RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by PaPalemon on 11-14-2003 at 02:28 PM
Maybe some one should make a programme for making skins... or is there such a programme? RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Punk_Out on 11-14-2003 at 08:52 PM I concore PaPalemon! RE: Msn Messenger 6.1 Silenty Updated by Sk3tch on 11-14-2003 at 09:29 PM
quote:yeah, he means when having a skin, porting is moving all the files from one messenger version to another one, and mostly likely always a higher version. quote:If you want the basic skinning program, its Resource Hacker, search on Google, otherwise I think someone has made such a program to move all the files in a bunch which is a lot quicker, but that wont make skinning quicker in retrospect, it will make porting quicker though. |
