RE: detect a closed chat window by bach_m on 11-21-2003 at 01:16 PM i dont think there is a way... it seems kinda hard. RE: detect a closed chat window by Fraisie on 11-21-2003 at 02:34 PM Patchou won't do it because it deals with privacy issues. RE: detect a closed chat window by chris on 11-21-2003 at 03:10 PM DJMystic has made a plugin that does that find it at his web page.. it is alpha tho so dont expect tha much support for it RE: detect a closed chat window by Tochjo on 11-21-2003 at 03:16 PM
quote:http://djmystic.messiahsoft.net/index.php?action=11 Edit: link on that page appears not to work Try downloading the .dll file directly from this location. RE: RE: detect a closed chat window by zigomar10 on 11-23-2003 at 09:07 AM
quote:does it work on the latest version of msn? RE: detect a closed chat window by Sk3tch on 11-23-2003 at 09:42 AM
quote:Try it, but yeah most probably unless they have changed something that effects the way it works RE: detect a closed chat window by chris on 11-23-2003 at 11:13 AM it only works on XP i didcovered... i had win98 and ME for awile and it didnt work.. i dont knwo why but thats just the way it is RE: detect a closed chat window by CookieRevised on 11-23-2003 at 11:36 AM
And for me, it doesn't work... (tried it on every msn + plus! combination since MSN 6.0 on a XP machine)... I use a packet sniffer now if I wanna know it... (heck, the utility of DJM is a very simpel packet sniffer)... listening on port 1863 for BYE and IRO commands... RE: detect a closed chat window by chris on 11-23-2003 at 11:38 AM
quote:did you type in /xnot in a convo window and tell it when you wanna get notified?.. also were could i get a packet sniffer i kina wanna see how that works.. a link or something? RE: detect a closed chat window by CookieRevised on 11-23-2003 at 11:42 AM
quote:Forgot to mention it, yes I did. btw, I talked with DJM about this, it simply doesn't work for me... ----------------- EDIT because DJMystic took his site down with the Notifier, here it is: RE: detect a closed chat window by Pete_M on 04-14-2004 at 01:08 PM
The plug-in by djmystic has suddenly stopped working RE: detect a closed chat window by Bugz on 04-14-2004 at 01:42 PM works fine here RE: detect a closed chat window by Pete_M on 04-14-2004 at 02:08 PM
Hmm..damnit, I'll just install Plus again and then if that don't solve RE: detect a closed chat window by Pete_M on 04-14-2004 at 02:30 PM
Argh, installed Plus and Messenger again... doesn't work. RE: detect a closed chat window by CookieRevised on 04-14-2004 at 02:54 PM
For other notifiers, take a look here: RE: detect a closed chat window by Pete_M on 04-14-2004 at 08:23 PM
Wouter's works alright, but I still liked the one by Dj Mystic better (just used to it). I'd still appreciate if someone could tell me why the plug-in suddenly doesn't work (I re-installed and re-configured the options of it too...nothing). It's just too damn weird I need to know why..and I know too little about these things. RE: detect a closed chat window by josh on 05-27-2004 at 04:10 AM I love this plug-in, but is it any method to show the nickname as UTF-8? RE: detect a closed chat window by Ezra on 07-03-2004 at 08:27 PM
How to turn it off? RE: detect a closed chat window by KeyStorm on 07-03-2004 at 08:31 PM
Oh, god, uninstall that, it's rather buggy. RE: detect a closed chat window by Ezra on 07-03-2004 at 08:37 PM Isn't there a plugin that shows the same things as notifier but with a toast and not a thing where you have to click OK everytime someone opens or closes the conversation. My friends usually close them. RE: detect a closed chat window by CookieRevised on 07-04-2004 at 02:45 AM
There is more then 1 plugins that can show you when someone opens/closes a window. So please, state what plugin you're talking about or follow the trend in this thread, but don't ask things out of the blue about a certain plugin as this is very hard to answer if everybody keeps talking about different things quote:What plugin? quote:By that statement I think you are talking about DJMystics plugin. In that case, no you can't turn it off like that. quote:the old one still works for some people... if they are happy with it then by all means let them use it StuffPlug-NG is also still alpha, so it could also be as much buggy (and it has a lot more features, which some people find rather annoying if they only want to use 1 function) quote:OpenConvo by Wouter.... quote: RE: detect a closed chat window by [-Ampora-] on 08-24-2004 at 11:26 AM
this thread had been a while RE: detect a closed chat window by Eljay on 08-24-2004 at 12:26 PM
it doesnt work with the latest version of msn (well it does but only once ) RE: detect a closed chat window by CookieRevised on 08-24-2004 at 01:11 PM
quote:not true, it works perfectly with the latest version.... quote:indeed it has a similar feature, but it doesn't have all the options that you get with OpenConvo... RE: detect a closed chat window by [-Ampora-] on 08-24-2004 at 02:11 PM
i just installed msn 6.1 i installed stuffplug-ng. i ticked the "enable window opened notifier" but i dont get notified if someone openz a window.. when they leave, i get the msg in the window (exactly what i wanted ) any idea's how to recieve "window opened" ? (atm back msn 6.2 & messenger plus! ofcourse ) :edit: what does "##nickname## has been removed." mean? the stuffplug-ng site doesnt really give you a clou RE: detect a closed chat window by dotNorma on 08-25-2004 at 01:52 AM
quote: That means that the connection between the two peers has been reseted. After an amount of inactivity MSN Messenger will reset the connection to save bandwidth. I think the time of innactivity before it resets the connection is 10 minutes. quote:StuffPlug will show a toast or popup like MSN Messenger shows when a user signs in. This toast should say User has opened a conversation with you RE: detect a closed chat window by jmccarroll on 08-25-2004 at 04:21 AM
quote:did you restart msn after you changed that option...sometimes you will need to restart msn for some of the features to work. RE: detect a closed chat window by [-Ampora-] on 08-25-2004 at 07:39 PM
