Hello everyone,

I just released a small update to Messenger Plus!. Version 2.52.72 includes several little improvements such as a better looking Quick Icons panel (and you'll be happy if you're using a skin than changes default emoticons).

hey patchou ... in the next update would you possibly be able to make the toast boxes skin friendly??? ... i mean having the plus logo on them still is ok .. but they just look strange with everybodys skins

Because the request-for-update for the translation was announced via the forums, I missed the request, so the Dutch Language File isn't updated...

Patchou, could you make these (small) announcements/request also via email please, as I don't check the forums every day, but do check my email every day...

I just use the old emoPump MSN add-on and enable toast skinning when I still have the original MSN Look on and then put a skin on and the toasts stay as the regular MSN ones...

So many new versions, so much to thank you for!! Thanks for takin notice of my request (the quick emoticons panel, its now truley usable!) Thanks agian!!!
One more thing, just to make it look even more profesional than plus! already looks could u change the toasts to look more accurate (see atachments, there are two i think would look better) and now u have eliminated the need for the emoticons to be read from plus!, u could remove them from the dll. This is just me being picky

I just updated the version a little... it's still 2.52.72 but the date in the about box is November 23rd. You don't need to update again, except if you have a very good reason to do so

• Carriage returns are removed from contact names in the event log file.
  
• "You must sign-in before you can use this feature" bug fixed for new Messenger versions.
  
• Some languages have been updated

I knew I would get the 'cache question' ... No, cache is off, I don't use cache... Cache that was present from few months ago (when I turned cache on for a while) is deleted... Browser was restarted... Tried also different download-maps, names, etc... Also, I tried different browsers, all the same... all very strange...

I got a auto update for messenger plus, as soon as it was installed i got a virus warning..

It's name is Dropper.swicer.A , after running my anti virus program it was luckely removed.

will the deleting of her file affect her MsgPlus function?

My avg updates every 2 days, so that can't be it, how ever every function seems to do it so i don't think it affected the msnplus

AVG just seem to have some personal grudge with my sponsor... as I said, you don't have to worry about that, no other virus detects anything in my setup package

after the warning i got while downloading messenger plus, i started my avg anti virus program, it dit found the virus and it heald and removed it by it's self , i really don't have any problems now.  The other thing i standerd do if i have a virus, is cleaning the temporary internetfiles just i case there is still something there.

Hmm, it's dodgy that AVG acts differently to most other anti-virus programs, but as others have said, if you just ignore it, Plus! should work fine.

Hi,

I seem to have got a virus called Trojan horse Dropper.Swicer.A

I am having trouble removing it and so searched the web for advice. Almost all references to this new virus say it is caused by a messenger plus update. Is this true?

Also has anyone heard of it and does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Please help as am new to this and have tried to run AVG virus scan and this does not work.

It probably is to do with Messenger Plus! but it isn't actually a virus.  If you read above you'll see that AVG seems to think there is a virus in Plus! but we assure you there is not.  There is nothing for you to remove.
