Another External IP Finder by Hah on 12-29-2003 at 11:45 PM

EDIT: Forgot to say its piss easy to use as well.

Heres another external ip finder based on Mikezs one, however maybe a bit more advanced. I needed this plugin to tell my family my ip because they all download files from my ftp, but Mikezs' never gave me the correct ip address.

It can use either a direct connection to a ip server (developed by myself - so only my pc is running atm) or a connection by http to a php page where the ip will be parsed. The direct connection is usually quicker and much much much more accurate.

The but - i have the server executable (windows) however, have no where to run it except on my pc, so it will be on for a short time tonight so keep the default ip and you can use my pc for tonight, but if anybody has a spare pc on the internet around and anyone actually uses this plugin, i would be greatful if they would run a tiny server in the background.

Also, just to let you know, the direct connection sends only these strings, and these only from your computer:
"iprequest"
"hostrequest"
"quit"

Feel free to check this with a packet sniffer.

Enjoy. Please use the Plus! menu to use this plugin, saves me explaining the commands because im nakered.

Sorry for not asking you before posting Mikezs, but i couldnt find your email address anywhere :(. Hope you dont mind :S

thats more on topic than most of your posts :dodgy:

and it depends on if you have a static or dynamic IP adress

Alexander Online I wouldn't advise you to tell everyone your IP. People could hack you if you had a Trojan and even find out where you live by the way how are things in Amersfoot?

Okay thank you for your advise. I dont understand "how are things in Amersfoot". What mean Amersfoot?

hacking tools are not waht you think. if u just want to DDoS him, find a DDoS program. but to hack, you need to know how to exploit, and that takes some knowledge

He meant to say Amersfoort; he did a WHOIS lookup on your IP address and found out that the address was registered to someone in Amersfoort (the Netherlands). He didn't know that your provider's company (Planet Internet/Het Net) is in Amersfoort, and you're not :P

Hehe lol i don't live in Amersfoort :D , I live in Boxmeer
My ISP is Hetnet, and how can you do a WHOIS lookup?

There are sites on the Internet where you can enter an IP address. I found out by going to http://www.ripe.net/whois and entering your IP address there.

or a little kid going "wow sub 7" and sending it to u

Like my friend Tim Grimes, sent a file saying "porn.exe" to loads of people, now most people deleted straight away, but the few that downloaded obviously got a virus alert warning, apart from 1 who downloaded it. Then i was given the task to rid his computer of all the viruses
