Smiley Central is Spyware. I don't recommend it.

I just found out that the website says it's not spyware/adware, but my adware removel program says differently...

Mine says nothing..
And one thing, it is a beta, and has a lot of bugs! i've found 5 with messenger itself and 10 if we use plus!

Rule: if it's advertised by a huge popup and it says it's free and it is not made by Patchou, its dodgy enough to have hidden spyware or adware

I use both Ad-Aware and Spy Bot Search and Destroy and both say it's spyware.

Is there a website from the maker of this program? (couldn't find one). What does he say about his program? Because, all things being equal, it isn't fair to say that other free advertised software have spyware (just because some anti-spyware programs say it is) without checking the author. Remember that optional sponsor thing in a program called Plus!?????

its like hotbar. i still have to clean like 40 adware programs form my computer n00b aunt's puter

I really trust Ad-Aware and if it removes it...I'd leave it removed.  What's the big deal anyway...All it does is have smilies right?  Doesn't sound worth the hassle.

Sorry, I use Mywaysearch (and Smiley Central for e-mail, MSN, PopSwatter (popupblocker), Mail Stamp, My Signature, Mail Stationary and Cursor mania (all must have mywebsearchbar but I don't care)
And my Ad/Spyware remover didn't find it becouse I tould it to ignore Mywebsearch!

No matter what this Smiley Central KICK ASS!!!!

HAHAHA! What's I tell ya?! Ya, it may be a cool program to have on your pc......but it ain't worth it.

I installed it, saw that the other contact also needed the program removed it, it's not worth the pain, some ppl even had to reinstall everything after removal =/

I've got it, it works almost perfect for me, but when someone starts to send too much smileys, the conversation window get "messed".
