i know this has been requested before but i really think that we need more sections to this forum, more specificaly tech talk and/or general
i would say that there should be a forum for graphics design and one for programmin/webdsign
just my two cents.. even thought they may not make enuf difference (stupid canadain dollar :tongue: )

but is it really needed? people post those things in GCC usually anyway, so it'd probably carry on being posted in GCC by alot :undecided:

Graphics and Programming are the two that I was seriously considering, but I'm still not sure about adding them. It would make things more complicated... more work for the mods, more choices for thread posters to make. Also, the purpose of the forums would have to be defined, so we'd know if a thread about Messenger skins should be in "MSN/Windows Messenger" or "Graphics." Or what about a thread about developing a Messenger add-on? "MSN/Windows Messenger" or "Programming"? You'd almost need to make them subforums, and have 2 pairs of them, one for Messenger and one for Tech Talk. (N)

So I'm totally undecided. I'd like to just keep things simple and the same for now.

I think if you were to add a Graphics and/or Programming forum, they should be for non-messenger/Plus! related discussion.

I don't know why, I just think it would be better like that.

Besides, how often does someone post asking about making a new add-on for Messenger? Not that often. :tongue:

The only real reason there would be to add more forums would be if the current ones were too busy which they're not, at the moment. Graphics and programming both come under tech talk (or plugins, or messenger general talk for some programming), and there's a low enough number of threads that come into there for people to view them all.

Leave it as it's now. As it's been said, the forums are not full and new categories won't be very used.

I was going to suggest afew more forums to WDZ, however i think that before that can be done the forums need to be cleaned out a bit and there needs to be some sort of community area designed.. as well as the forms have to be popular enough not to look empty.

General Chit Chat
+ Jokes and Comedy Central
+ Poll Center
+ Rants and Raves (would need to be moderated regularly though)
Technology Discussion
+ Web Design and Programming
+ Graphic Design

simple things like that, so the index didnt get any bigger..

the problem with that is that this isn't a general discussin forum (like neowin). these are here for a certain reason ( :plus2:

), and i dont think that theres much reason for this to grow. sure, theres a huge knowledge base among the members, so perhapse the web design and programing and graphics design, but i think the other stuff is too excessive

adding new forums is a bad idea, after all, these are the Messenger Plus! forums. People is here mainly to help each other about this program, if u want web-dasign support, go to other forums

This would just increase the spam.. as an example, no one post jokes now

if u put a subforum called 'jokes', people will start posting them

and we dont need jokes tbh, u want to read a joke? search in google
