i dunno actually... but i guess aslong as its not a stupid file size and has to do with Plus! or MSN...

The file I wanted to upload was a shade over 2MB, and I tried doing it via editing the post.

Four actually, with a total of 57 sounds in WAV format. I tried converting them to mp3 encoding, but the filesizes barely changed.

Strangely enough, the new VB versions compile to smaller code than the old C++ versions (AllYourBase, Matrix, and MontyPython do anyway: RedDwarf has more sounds in this latest version).

For most types of attachments, the maximum size is 0.5 megabytes.
There's already tons of space taken up by attachments here... we don't need more big files...

Woah Dz thats quite large i didnt think a forum this big would have that much upload space 
I suppose you have to clean attachments from time to time though

Well, I don't prune attachments separately... I just delete them along with the posts they're attached to when I do my regular thread pruning.

that seems bets. that way we dont run into problems of threads with missing attachments
