Well they can send the (!IP) command to you, but I don't think there is a way for you to get it by yourself

umm this is the oldest method alive...
send a file to him / her
when it's transferING have Command Prompt open, and when it's started (make sure it's a big file) simple type netstat -n or netstat both or one of them will do... and if you do both, check for a matching IP, thats not yours

it is with "netstat -n" that i could find the 'reciever' adress... but... it is kinda hard to find the good IP adress because there are a lot of things. I asked my friend to do (!IP) and after i search with netstat -n and there was a lot of things that made it hard to find it!

Instead of using netstat, use TCPView. It's the same but a graphic tool and you'll find the info you're looking for quicker. Just look at the messenger process and see the new connection it makes when the other accepts the file.
However, in the last version of the protocol used by messenger, there's a thing called MSNP2P. Shortly, that is a way of sending files without doing a direct connection with the 2 machines but sending the file through the server so you won't be able to know your contact's IP. This is used when you and your contact are behind a router/nat/firewall.
