Emoinstaller Emoticons Don't Work - Printable Version

I install a Emoinstaller pakage, but after i restart MSN messenger every time i try to use em the folowing error is displayed. "your emticons can not be used. Please create new ones"

What the hell is happening? :@

This happend to me a few days ago... I prolly messed up my emote folder :S

The only solution seems to be to delete all your costom emoticons, and re-add them.

To delete all the old ones:

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger

Where C is your system drive and User is you user name, now choose what you think is the folder corresponding to ur email adress (can't remember how to figur uot that number:S) Now delete the "CustomEmoticons" folder in it (THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR OLD EMOTES!) restart MSN and re-add your emoticons

I attached an adder program to make this easier (you can add a whole folder at once) found it at mess.be

The installer always works fine for me :P

I tested it I think Huufs the creator of it :P

I had that app I got from mess.be too, but I can use it to add emoticons.  I get the most unusual error message.  It first displays a dialog box that goes: "You have a the   and Event Log - Rencent Activity window open close it and press retry" (exactly as I transcribed it).

Then I noticed that on the main interface it says "This program doesn't work 100% with plus! close plus! read how in the manual".

Any ideas on how to close down Plus! momentarily to add the emots ?

If you're on WinXP, just press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and kill the MsgPlus.exe process, then restart messenger...;)

(not sure that works on other OSes though*-))

i have problem to find Application data... can show me how to find? My emotion keep disapearin.. i have the same message as
but i can see in MSNPLuss emotion.. my emotion is still there.. but when i press them.. no emotion appear

Try using This backup tool to backup all your backgrounds/DPs/CEs

delete your MSN Messenger cache, and start a fresh, thats the easy way round it
