Hey Everyone!

I know I dont post that much, But I'm letting you guys know whats going on.

Down at the bottom of the page I added a Google Adsense banner. I'm just trying to cover some of the server cost, I know it wont cover it, but every penny helps. All the links should be Messenger Related so give em a click if you can (just dont over do it because that wont help at all).

I appriciate all the help everyone here can give if they just click even just once a week!

I love hosting the Messenger Plus forums and want to keep doing it for as long as I can!

I've recently seen on some other forums that some words in posts were automatically linked to search results... do you think it would be a good idea to add that on the forum (honnestly, I think that adding a banner at the bottom of the site won't bring anything tangible).

.. of course, it's not a reason not to click on the banner so go ahead people, click!

Actually it automatically bases it's ads on the content of the page

When just the logo is shown (as Choli posted), it isn't centered. Wouldn't that look nicer?

As far as a i know, it's against the adsense TOS to tell users to click the ads.
I seen this issue brought up in many forums.

no please!

I can't think of a worse thing to have... it's so intrusive... you sometimes think links are real links only to find it's an ad - it's like product placement in films imho, it spoils the atmosphere of what you're there to enjoy

It's just one of them annoyances I get. I'll click more that way

I have no controll over the way there linked.....

your not allowed to edit the script in any way, which is a bit annoying

i think its a good idea.. a non instrusive way of getting a little bit of cash what would you prefer, banner adds or spyware or porn ads? which sounds better ? google adsense program will make plenty of money eventually as i known a lot of sites that have used there money to get things like there own server.. i must give you around of a applause patchou for a good idea

wj you might want to setup the filters on it, i know you can because i looked into it and watched the Corp Video on it. Anyway you can filter out websites such as VBulliten Board that have been comming up on the adverts, You can set filters to stop it doing that so your competition isnt shown on your site. Anway just thourght you might want to try it

Yeah, Vbull. appears constantly. Also we.b hos.ting ads which do not exactly benefit Avid

Well, instead of telling members to questions they post, we can send them to the bottom of the page

Hmm, just noticed... however well you phrased this thread you've broken the TOS by putting "Sponsored Links" above the banner

Alright, I just notice the Google Ads.   I will do my best to help.
