I was wondering how big are your log files.

Yes, you guessed right, I'm testing the Log Viewer, so sorry for bothering you with this again :grin:

The biggest log I found in my PC is about 200 KB and now takes about 12 seconds to load in Log Viewer with my Pentium III 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, XP Prof. However, the average size is about 20-30 KB and they load immediatly. Emoticons processing is what takes most time. Anyways, it's working a lot faster now than the old beta!

my personal record is 781ko, lol..

but my event logs' size can reach 2Mb

I don't know if its my largest , but my conversation log with Sketch from last month is 925KB. Yah , We talk to much :tongue:

When I tried to open it Log Veiwer stopped responding :gfdrin:

Yes. The latest version (still unreleased) supports animated emoticons. Right now my server is down for maintenance, so download it from the plugin database or from www.mess.be

Did it show you an error message? If not, maybe the emoticons are taking too long to process... Try disabling them.

My largest Events Log for 1 month is around 2mb

The largest one Ive had with a contact is 974kb...

I think the LogViewer program may need some work if its hanging on 200kb log files :undecided:

my biggest log file is 643 KB. some of my older log files are crypted and somehow they got scrambled...i cant access them anymore because it wont accept my password.

These are my logs of this month.. (18 days )

In total I have 215 logs for this month. If you count the two previous months I have 371 logs (28MB)... I used to have logs of August 2003 ~ February 2004 aswell, but those got lost in a format >_<.

Well one time, I dont know with what log system this has been, but it told me to clear the log because the maximum log was full.
It might have been with the normal log system.
