i got a yahoo account as well as a hotmail, and i got a new e-mail, i read it, then noticed the "1 new emaild idn't go away" so i disabled pop3, and it said "0 new messages" so i enabled it, set the timer to 1 min (from 15) and clicked ok, 1 min later "1 new e-mail message" the READ message still shows as read with yahoo... enabled / disabled pop3 3 more times, and still says 1 new e-mail.

Some servers abusively return the number of total emails in your Inbox. This is something you nor Plus! can change.
