sorry if this has been suggested before, but is there any way of making the send an instant message screen have contacts rename. Or is that a limitation?

I believe he means something like the /nick command that allows you to change your own name but instead it will rename your contact using the Plus! custom contact name feature

[color=white]I think he means the "Send an Instant Message..." window and instead of having screen names it would have custom names. And i think it has the same problem as the "Sort Contacts by Custom Name" suggestion. Probably possible but way more problems than it's worth
edit: on second thoughts its problably not possible

If u have custom names enabled, then the names show up as the e-mail addresses in the send an instant message... thing, wot i want is for the custom names to be shown there

It could possibly be done as a plugin or an external exe.
Plugin being something like /sendim
or exe being it would dectect that window when its opened and close it and show the other one
Beyond that there aren't really any options.

The IE bar in the background has NOTHING to do with it whatsoever, it just happens to be there......
Look at the name of the person I'm talking to. Its dodgy, but you should see what I'm getting at. Is that what your on about?
