It only shows closing. But I think it is for the better. A conversation window would have to be opened to do it the way the closed window does. And if they open a window they will say something to you in just a moment so its kind of pointless

+ I agree how TheBlasphemer got angry that this alpha got onto other sites. It clearly said that  the plugin shouldnt be put on other sites and he wishes to be respected. Some people that didnt repect this deserve to be told what they have been told on these forums

- TheBlasphemer attitude is really what ticks me. I mean 5% of the people here leaked it and the others are innoncent and are waiting for a great plugin. They want and ask features and they ask you nicely. What if Patchou stopped Messenger Plus! when people started crying about "Oh spyware!! Msgplus sucks!". Patchou took it and continued on to please his real fans. So rethink it

forgot to say, the installer just updates the .dll and files inside the plugins folder

Perhaps i know why it doesnt work, i had that problem to.
First you need to close msn messenger, then uninstall the stuffplug, then extract the .dll file in the rar to C:\Windows\System32 and rename it to: cximagecrt.dll, then instal the stuffplug and start msn messenger, and now its working (at least it was working for me, after i did that).

I may seem stupid, but installed SP-NG, put the .dll in system32 when it said it was missing, and restarted messenger. Stuffplug isn't in my list. Help!

Google tools is a good feature

loads of features dont appear.....too many to name. the file name is usually stuffplug15b.zip if ya wanna search forums or google.

Nearly all of the talkers arent working now, the only one that works is
/xtalk spel blah blah

all of the others just cut out after my msn disappeared and shut.
I couldnt even read what it said because i was pressing enter and it went away. (enter so that my attempted talk would go through)

Urm, i've just realised that my StuffPlug-NG has disappeared....freaky!

Ill reinstall and test talkers again.

The talkers don't work because you have the old StuffPlug activated... if you use  /xtalk SP1.5b will execute the command

Stuffplug works great only
when i leave a im-window open
it says "the contact has been deleted"
when it normaly has to say" the contact has closed the conversation"

it only says this when i did't talked to that person for about
10min.,before that it only uses closed the conversation..

that's something different from the "contact has closed the conversation" message.
msn just seems to close the connection when you haven't talked for a while, but the windows on both sides are still open. i guess you can simply ignore that message, i get it too. (btw, it doesn't say the contact has been deleted, but contact has been removed from the conversation; that's something different)

That's right, the removed message is when both of you dont talk for 10 minutes or so,
then MSN closes the connection between the two persons itself, while the windows remain open.
Please also not that after this happened you will no longer be notified if a user left because he has theoretically alreadybeen forced to leave it...

MSN didnt built in a time-out for nothing....
If people keep their pc's on all day like me, and would use that option, it'd kill msn's servers

Ok, this is the weirdest thing ever, SP NG didn't work for me, then i opened a second msn (polygamy patch) and connecter on a cousin's account and there SP worked PERFECTLY.... this is weird

I couldnt get it working after I installed to. To fix it I closed msn and plus, then went into the registry. I then went to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\username\Preferences\Plugins\stuffplug-ng.dll and changed Enable to 1. After that I loaded plus and msn, logged in and SP loaded.

Can anyone please help me here. I installed stuff plug ng and then installed old stuff plug everything was working fine untill I went into the plugin settings part and checked "Not Loaded: Stuff Plug by DJMystic" now all the old options  have disappeared. I tried unchecking again/reinstalling but nothing seems to work. What should I do?

then run the installer
then reopen messenger

yeah Large Dp's aren't working for me, yes i have it activated in the settings, yes i clicked keep the picture its original size and the people i am talking to have resized their window and still it is not working.

TheBlasphemer doesn't want to have anything to do with the plugin anymore.

I have just downloaded stuff plug from your website. When I open MSN there is no change, but it is listed in the plugins list. I have tried re-starting my computer, dont know what to do, does anyone know.

1.  The default browser i use is MYIE2 and opening the hotmail inbox in my default browser is not working. It just opens it in regular IE. Yes, i do have "Open Hotmail Inbox in default browser" option enabled in the StuffPlug options

2. The CE/DP stealer isn't really working. It stole 6 dps when i first installed stuff plug and now it hasn't stolen anymore... There isn't a limit of 6 dps is there?

3. When I try and delete the DPs out of the stealer box it deletes it but when i reopen it (typing /xcedpstealer) it is there again. I have tried deleting them one at a time and all at the same time, but everytime i reopen it the same 6 dps are there.

I finally got it to work, but now my Handwriting plugin doesn't work because of StuffPlug-NG.

Everything works xept that I don't seem to get a message when the person closes the convo. Help...

here it doesnt even work .. plz help me out someone .

i have done everything correctly .

1 . I download the files stuffplginstall.exe and cximagr.dll

2 . i renamed the file cximage.dll to cximagecrt.dll and then kept in the windows system 32 folder also kept a copy of it msn plugins.

3 . then i run stuff plug install .... its installed successfully , but no change ,

is there something that i did wrong .


i checked it as well frm the msn plugins directory if the plugin is installed n there it shows that

Plus----->Preferences------>Plugins ... n there is StuffPlug by DJMystic.

besides ... i am only interested in the larger display pic feature .. and i saw that it was also possible with that msn shell thingy .. but couldnt understand it properly . so plzz help me out guyz .

oo yea ... i also saw a few ppl getting solved with this problem when they got to the alpha version of stuff plug ng .. but when i go to that link it say the thread does not exist ?

so it can also turn out to be helpful if someone could attach that file

to make them work you must

have the option for  "Over-sized display pictures" turned on ?
-plus/plugins/stuffplug-ng/configure

and you need to add a new picture, it will then say. keep orginal size? or changed to 96 by 96?
select keep orginal size, then your Display picture should be large

p.s. you don't seem the picture size, only your contacts do, so you will have to ask a contct to tell you if it has worked

you also need to make sure you have the option turned on
-plus/plugins/stuffplug-ng/configure

then make sure that "enable the CE/DP stealer" is ticked, then try using the stealer, see if it works then

you need to look at the middle part of the file name. for example talker.medieval.vbs, for this file the name is medieval. so you use this you would write

/xtalk medieval (then write your text)
or to turn on the autotalker
/xautotalker medieval

I will be doing something and then someone will im me on windows messengeR (that i didn't open ) and it will say "offset not found" for all the features and it disables them. So  i have to go open the config window and check them when i sign into msn messenger.

Edit: I got it to not be able to sign in  but it still opens

ah, that'll be fixed in the new version, the options will be saved per email-address

so it shouldn't be to long then

I installed the stuffplug thing, installed the stupid dll file and it dont show up anywhere...

No STuffplug NG, NOTHING AT ALL!!!!

It is installed in my Messenger Plus! 3 Directory:

C:\Programmer\Messenger Plus!3

Not C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus!3 as it wanted it to be.

Can that be the problem?

Put the setup file in C:\Programmer\Messenger Plus!3\Plugins then install it, then run msn it should be there.

And I also can't see my oversised DP but the other person can?

I havent receieved a straight answer from anyone...can someone tell me is TheBlasphemer is going to be releasing his alpha 2 of SPNG...or will the one provided by JackassWannaBe be the last version that is available

Just add yourself to your contact list and Double Click-Clock-Cluck your name... It will show your big DP

if u are trying to access the configure you can also type " /xspoptions "

how can it be grey when ur typing it and your not supposed to click on it. If you have both the plugin and msn messenger installed properly all u need to do is type in "/xspoptions" in a chat window with any of your contacts and then the options should come up

im using 6.2 of messenger

What versions of MSN messenger and Plus does this work for?  Does it work for all the latest ones? I can't find anything in the post relating to versions.

I have downloaded stuff plug NG and have read the readme, but in the readme it says that I should "unrar plugins.rar in your plugins folder". There isnt any file named "plugins.rar" in the .zip file, so instead I copied "StuffPlugNG.dll" to my plugins folder. I also copied "cximagecrt.rar" to my system32 directory, but still it doesnt work. Is there meant to be a "plugins.rar" in the .zip file, in order for it to work?

works great for me except one problem

It does open my defauly browser (Firefox) to check emails, but it opens it up everytime i open a conversation window.

It seems just about everybody cant work this thing. I downloaded it, and did everything it says in the read me, and what people have said in the forums, have even changed the registry settings for it, as told by somebody, but still nothing.
Msn plus doesnt even read it in the preferences> plugins panel.
so...unless suddenly somebody finds a way for this to work then seems we will all have to wait

if you cant figure it out this plugins probably not for you.

there should be a readme file in there, telling u where to put the .dll files

As it is an alpha release, it is to be expected that not everything will be explained properly. Alpha indicates that it is an internal test version, of which you should not expect proper behaviour and for which you should not expect full support.

1.Extract your files
2.Place the cximagecrt.dll.dll file in c:/windows/system32
3.Shut down MSN Messenger
4.Run the installer

you are done

and if you still cant get it READ the entire thread properly

I couldnt believe it when I checked my plugins, and....it was actualli there

Heres a tip for everyone who cant get it to work, because this is where I went wrong...

1) download the zip file, which is somewhere in this thread
2)open the zip file, read the readme, and follow the instructions (Note when it says "unrar" you have to have a unrar program, so just search "rar" on any decent program site)
3) Download the installer located above.
4) Exit MSN
5) Run the installer
6) Restart MSN and it should now be displayed in plus>plugins, now click configure, and choose what you want

Hello, i know this is kind of an old topic, but i have read this thread countless times and can not get this plugin to work (stuffplugin-ng) for bigger display pictures.

if i say whot ive done so far. maybe some kinda gent/madam, could be of assistance.

1. added and changed the file to cximagecrt.dll to system 32 file.
2. downloaded the file plugin, and added it to the messenger plus 3 plugin file. reset messenger, and awaited the splash screen, but no joy.
3. i then entered "/xspoptions" in a conversation box, and had this message "this messgae is not recongised or an error has occured during its processing"

i did alos go look in the plugin file in msn plus 3 for a configure file, but no luck.

im not very hot with computers so all help and in basic terms much appreciated!

Try this:

1) open a new conversation window
2) click plus
3) click plugins
4) find Stuff Plug NG and click that
5) there should be a "configure"
6) Click that, and then a pop up should appear, and you can select which options you wish to have.

thanks for the suggestions, but when i go to the plus menu, plugins is still in grey, and unclickable.
have rebooted a few times, and really running outta options. is it worth deleting all the files and starting again????? plz help

Dee: have you tried rebooting?

When you used an unrar program to unrar cximagecrt.rar, did you then move the .dll file from the folder that was created into system 32 folder? If not, then have you got plugins enabled for msn plus? Go to plus > preferences > plugins And check that "allow messenger plus to load plugins in my account" is ticked.

hey..reali confused...i followed these exact steps and then typed /xspoptions in the message window but it still doesnt work...these are the steps i followed:

Any, first step is to unrar cximagecrt.dll in your C:\Windows\System32\ Directory,
This DLL is needed by stuffplug-ng,
then unrar plugins.rar in your plugins folder (mostly C:\program files\messenger plus! 3\plugins\)
and reboot msn, SPNG should then pop up a nice splash screen, and after 5 seconds the options dialog

yeh as i sed i followed those steps but doesnt work...anyone have any suggestions?
