Plus! on Friendster by Onyx on 06-19-2004 at 09:30 PM
Hi all,
Are you on Friendster?
Because, if you are, I'm informing you that there is an account dedicated for Messenger Plus!
You can create an account in Friendster. You can meet new friends or, even, meet old buddies in elementary school
I also ask to the website developer if it is okay to use Plus!'s images in the account. I hope it's okay. But I don't mind to take the images out.
I hope this is also a way of promoting Plus! to other Internet users, because many people that I know still don't know and use Plus!
If you are interested in becoming a "friend" of Messenger plus!, you can add it: msgplus_@hotmail.com
Thanks

Sounds cool , hope this would be great and big
Sure this would promote MP! more than actually is!!

And where is this special place for Messenger Plus on Friendster?
RE: Plus! on Friendster by Onyx on 06-20-2004 at 06:13 AM
I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what you asked
I only created an account for Plus! in Friendster, so people might add Messenger Plus! in their accounts.
Other users, who don't know Plus! and are in people's friend lists who are using Plus!, can see the "profile" of Messenger Plus! containing some powerful features of Plus!
I also gave Plus!'s site, so people who are interested can download Plus!
So, people, add Messenger Plus! in your account.
And, if you don't have an account, create one

Ah... ic... well indeed I didn't understand completely what it was. So there is no way we can see the account's properties without creating an account for ourself? to bad... I'm very curious
Anyways, sounds great

this Friendster looks a lot like google's affiliate Orkut... The only thing is you can't join orkut without someone inviting you to it...

RE: Plus! on Friendster by illuzn on 06-28-2004 at 02:01 AM

I have an account in Friendster.
If someone's interested to see what it looks like, I have a screenshot here.
Oh, here's the complete "About Me:" section.
quote: Released on May 19, 2001, Messenger Plus! has become the oldest and the best add-on for Windows/MSN Messenger.
Plus! was created by Patchou.
Latest version: 3.25.106 October 20, 2004
Latest public beta version: 3.40.112 December 2, 2004
Important news: Anyone using an older beta (3.40.109 or older) MUST upgrade to newer version to get the memory leak problem fixed.
UPDATE: Expect the full version of Plus! for MSN Messenger 7 in mid-March 2005.
Note: if you are interested in downloading this beta, you have to visit the Messenger Plus! forum (msghelp.net).
The beta version is now compatible with MSN Messenger 7 although there are several bugs and limitations.
For more information about new features, go to the forum.
Download at your own risk!
Note: MSN Messenger 7.0 Beta is now officially available. You can download it from messenger.msn.com/beta
Here are some features what Plus! can do.
New: Floating contacts on the desktop, so you don't have to open the contact list window to start a conversation. (Errr.. what?) Try it, and you'll know!
Set custom names for your contacts.
Disable MSN Messenger's banner ad.
Log your chats and contacts' events.
Make your Instant Messages window and your Contact List window transparent!
Add unlimited emoticons!
Create your own status like yournick (Watching TV) instead of (Away)!
Shorten your contacts' long, messy nicks in the chat windows by giving a your own custom names to them.
Lock your Messenger when you're not using the computer.
Hide Messenger from the people physically surrounding you.
Notify you of your contacts status changes with the help of sounds or pop up windows. And many, many, many more!
Best of all, Plus! is a FREEWARE! You are free to install or not to install the OPTIONAL sponsor program, risk free!
Interested? Download me at www.msgplus.net
And below that there's "Who I Want to Meet:" section in which contains the following messages:
quote: All Messenger Plus! users!!!
To add me: msgplus_@hotmail.com
Go spread out the words!
This is actually the second account dedicated for Messenger Plus!. The first account is already full (max capacity 500), and for this new account, there are about 100 people connected to this account. Well, Patchou, these are your fans
Apparently, there are many users from Malaysia. Too bad the Plus! translator for Malaysian is not active anymore.
If you have any suggestion, or correction of the information in the Friendster page, just let me know.
I'll be happy to tell the account creator for Plus!
