This is what it is..
I am running WinXP_PRO.
Whenever I wanna run anything from windows it closes on me
When I try to open regedit, taskmanager, msconfig etc.
it opens like for 1 seconds (blinks) and closes.
I ran my McAfee updated and found lots of adware, I took care of all that but I still have the same problem as before.
Has anyone had this problem before? If you had, how did you go about fixing this thing. I cant even close applications at all! its really giving me a headache. Please help if you know bout this. Thanks!.

It's a trojan horse virus, you'll need to figure out which one and go to Symantec's site to get a removal tool. I have this happen too....if you can't find which one it is you may have to format and re-install windows.

If i were you i would restart windows but run it in safe mode then while in safe mode try to find the spyware files and delete them also run adaware and spybotS&D while in safe mode but thats all i can say.
P.S. to run windows in safe mode keep pressing F8 while windows is resarting
