hm...hello..i just registered a new hotmail acccount..now i would like to have all my previous settings as before..well about contact list i now we can export/import.. then about plus settings also..but what about emoticons and it shortcuts? 
what about personalised status..
is there a way to export just "selected contacts' ???

I wish I new how to do that also, couse I have like 5msn names and only 2 of them have my made emoicons and stuff...I know this off topic but, does anyone know how to save your contacts from your hotmail email list? Couse I need to put all my contacts in my hotmail list to my gmail list...Sry bout being offtopic lol

u go to main msn window.. contacts... save contact list

if you send an email to all your contacts, they will all by added to your contacts. you will then need to edit them to add they names and any notes. this is the only way i have found, i don't think they is a way to just transfer them

To backup ur ce's an backgrounds use CE/DP backup wizard available here: http://kaonet.net/page.php?id=96
To import em into ur new account look for a CE/DP manager/importer on http://www.mess.be
