I was just wondering, do you donate to people who create free software, and have a donate button?
I do simply because i like the software, and I want the person to develop the software further, and like thinking that my $5 is really helping the developer.

Well I would if i had means of giving the money. Which makes me feel guilty about not giving them it.

No, because i dont have a way to actually give money over the internet without mum's credit card, which isn't given to me without a fight

No I don't donate, I'm a poor student I'm afraid . I tend to get all my software free, LMost actually legally. Although I am keen on try before you buy.

No I don't donate for free software, but I should anyways. I will tell ya the reason I don't donate. I am a poor strugling college student and I have tons of loans to pay off, or I would gladly donate to the developers of the free software.

The only exception I've ever made is when I donated to Patchou, to emphasise my oppositon to using the sponsor as a means of support. On the whole if someone writes a piece of software for free they aren't expecting money so I don't donete.

I would donate, but no one in my family use a credit card, but I would like it.

I would but then I have to get a credit card and my mom will wonder why on earth I want her credit card to give money to some guy over the internet.

in the UK you can get a visa electron card, or a solo card (both debit cards) at 11

no, but if I could..I would.. but to put it simple: I don't have any money and I will never have any money to spare cause I need it myself (and it's not for my fun, but for my phonebill,schoolbooks etc..)

I donate when it's just been my pay day and I'm in a good mood...but apart from that, no...if I'm not in a good mood then my money is all mine! Blah...though I have started to offer hosting for develepors if I like their programs .

Anywyas, no i never did donate anything to anyone due to the lack of money, once i get PayPal i might donate if i have any and if it is really worth it.
