New Features in Release Candidate 3 Include:
* New and user friendly install script
* Intelligent updater, allowing you to easily upgrade from previous versions.
* Multiple attachments per post.
* Attachment thumbnails generated for image (GD only).
* Completed and working portal.
* New settings manager.
* Quick delete button for posts.
* Thread Tool: Merge Selective Posts.
* Multiple attachment mime types and extensions per attachment type.
* Many new theme options, example: font and size options now extended.
* Collapsable forums now powered by javascript (and preferences are saved in a cookie).
* [attachment=id] MyCode to show attachments on the system inline in posts.
* Admin CP now runs off the new language system.
* Data cache techniques on items such as usergroups and forum permissions to reduce queries and bring down the load and processing time.
* General code cleanup (not completed yet).
* Brand new 'Light' theme and new spiffy templates (Thanks to TemplatesForAll and The Wolf!)
* 'Goto First Unread Post' button in the thread listing for new threads (Thanks to Peter Hall for the image).
* + More changes and many many bug fixes!

I think we should hope he updatyes before rc8
with all the added code and features he put into the forums it should be lots of fun for him to update the code...

I think WDZ already entered a lot of code of RC3 in this board.

To clear up confusion about the upgrade system, it just detects your old version and will then make database changes from your old version to the latest version. It wont make life any easier for WDZ

Great update for the average user, nightmare for WDZ. To be honest, I think the earliest possible date you'll see this board running RC3 is like mid-September.

And "integration" is spelled wrong! ... j/k
I was actually able to download this release the first time... I remember the RC2 download was a pain in the ass thanks to Laslo's DODGY script.
Anyway, I guess tomorrow I'll start preparing to work on it... gotta figure out what needs to be done to get this board upgraded.
