I recently downloaded the new StuffPlugin-NG & configured it to allow big display pictures but it doesnt work. What is wrong or were can I download something similar that will work?

did u select keep orginal size ? because if u have then it should work, as long as the picture is bigger then 96 by 96. by the way there is no way of you knowing whether picture is oversized, and your contact may need to resize the window to see you enlarged picture

I am havin a problem in displaying big display picture in my messenger... I am using messenger 6.2 and i downloaded  WTBWplug 1.0 from this forum.. but i couldn't make it work...

I don't know what to do .. can u help with that ??

you need to turn the option on

plus > plugins > Stuffplug-NG > configure   or type /xspoptions

make sure that "over sized DP's" is ticked

then add a new display picture, and you will get a box pop up that asks if u want to keep the orginal size or change the picture to 96 by 96.  select keep orginal size and your dp will be enlarge (aslong as the picture is over 96 by 96 of course). for your friend to see you new DP they may need to resize the chat window

the problem now.. when i went to the plugins menu.. there was no " Stuffplug-NG " .. I always have something wierd goin on ...

it wasn't included in the plugins menu...

try doing

run > regedit -->  KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\<youremail>\Preferences\Plugins\(In there), delete the key "StuffPlug-NG" and reload MSN

I download the last attachment.. but i still don't get how to extract it in c:\windows\system 32

open it with win zip and then pull the file out and place it in c:\windows\system 32    or    click "extract to" and write c:\windows\system 32 for the folder for it to extract to

is 'plus' a windows menu option or a folder?

I don't think it is a folder, bcoz when I went to the folder Stuffplug-NG there was no file or folder called "configure"

So if it is a menu option, then where do you get this menu option?

Ok here you go. This is for those ppl who just found this thread on Google and don't know anything about MSN plus.

Here's the detailed instructions that toddy was not able to or didn't know how to be clear about.

1. Close MSN.
2. Install MsgPlus-301.exe.
3. Download cximage.rar and extract the file to the system32 directory.
4. Rename the file from cximage.dll to cximagecrt.dll.
5. Install stuffplug-NG.
6. Start MSN.

These are the full instructions.

well can you use any of the features on StuffPlug-NG ??? try type /xspoptions does this work ? if so u don't need to delete the key. otherwise delete the key and restart msn, this should make it work.  (i have got no idea why this works, i just know that it is helped other people)

Well.. I typed the tag "/xspoptions " and it didnt' work.. a window popped up saying that the command is not recognized or and error occured during the processing .. does that mean anything ???

I can´t make my Stuffplug ng work
I´ve already did this:

-extracted the dll file to system32 and renamed it
-deleted the key in the registry (KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\<youremail>\Preferences\Plugins\...)

The configure button in the plugin menu still doesn't work and the /xspoptions command gives an error message.
Anyone knows what to do?

Another question... should a uninstall option for spng appear in the start menu?

as for your problem which dll did u extract to the system folder ? the one in the stuffplug-Ng rar or the cximage.rar file ?
well firstly u need to extract the  cximage.rar   in the system 32 folder and rename it to cximagecrt.dll and then install  StuffPlug-NG.rar  into the plug in folder (normally c:\program files\messenger plus! 3\plug-ins).

I've already did that, toddy..

hey i followed these instructions but mines not working!:

Any, first step is to unrar cximagecrt.dll in your C:\Windows\System32\ Directory,
This DLL is needed by stuffplug-ng,
then unrar plugins.rar in your plugins folder (mostly C:\program files\messenger plus! 3\plugins\)
and reboot msn, SPNG should then pop up a nice splash screen, and after 5 seconds the options dialog

I have MSN 6.2 and last version of msgplus. I downloaded the Suffplug-NG, and activated the big DP. But when I restart msn it says "Could not find offset to hook for Bigger DP's. Over-Seized DP'2 will now be disabled!" That also happens with lot of the options of the plugin. What's the problema?

Stuffplug-NG0.7.39 DEV does not solve the "Could not find offset to hook for Bigger DP's. Over-Seized DP'2 (and all the other functions too) will now be disabled!" problem after a system reboot.
Everything else about this plugin works absolutely fine, it must be the best Messenger program since Plus! itself!

Have you checked that Windows Messenger isn't interfering?

Ok, I managed to fix the problem of the message. Most of the Stuffplug options work, but I activated the big DP option, restarted MSN, and when I change the picture it doesnt ask me if I want to keep it's original size, and it keeps at the normal size (96x96 I think is). WHat's the proble now??

My problem was completely solved after I disabled windows messenger. Thanks!

If you want to have a image bigger than original you first have to delete it from the msn displaypicture list. After that, browse for it again and select it. Thats how it worked for me.

Hi.  I got the message "Could not find offset to hook for Bigger DP's. Over-Sized DP's will now be disabled!"
So i followed all instructions and disabled windows messenger and restarted, and made sure that stuffplug and oversize DP's were activated.  Then i tried to add a new picture and i wasn't asked whether or not i wanted to keep the original size.
So it's still not working.  I have had a look thru the forums, can't find a solution that works for me.
Anyone? please help.
