nope, GMT-7 ;) So that would be 10:00pm (22:00) GMT...

Currently PT is in daytime saving or PDT, not PST.
(and PDT = GMT-7)

Pacific Standard Time PST  = GMT - 8
Pacific Daylight Time PDT = GMT - 7
Eastern Standard Time EST = GMT - 5
Eastern Daylight Time EDT = GMT - 4

So, for everybody who uses daylight saving, count +1 hour to your normal GMT-reference. Eg: If you normaly use "GMT+1", then now you use "GMT+2"...

;)

Chat is held on:

3:00pm (15:00) Pacific (Daylight) Time
6:00pm (18:00) Eastern (Daylight) Time
10:00pm (22:00) UTC/GMT

or

etc...
=18:00 13th (GMT-4)
=19:00 13th (GMT-3)
=20:00 13th (GMT-2)
=21:00 13th (GMT-1)
=22:00 13th (UTC/GMT)
=23:00 13th (GMT+1)
=24:00 14th (GMT+2)
=01:00 14th (GMT+3)
=02:00 14th (GMT+4)
etc...

find out your current timezone (GMT+?) (click your country and see what the reference to GMT is under "Daylight Saving")

or

within 7438 days, 5 hours, 25 minutes, 33 seconds ago...

Yeah yeah yeah, I had someone else this afternoon give me a full talk about it too :P.

Thankfully, the actual Microsoft page actually links to a lovely site with all the major capitals on it to make it less of an issue:

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by Kryptonate on 07-13-2004 at 11:28 PM

That was an interesting chat. Too bad of the many unanswered questions (true, there were a lot of them who didn't made any sense, but the others did).
Sadly enough they didn't answered my question about making a place where we can view the unanswered questions and their answers so there are questions who will remain unanswered :-/.

They didn't talk about animated dp's or animated emoticons so we don't know when or if they will be implemented, the scrollbug will be solved they say (y), they gave a vague answer on encryption of logs and we might be able to log in with the status on offline in the future.

The next chat appears to be not before December. So far regular MSN Messenger chats.

Mess.be and Scito.nl will give a list of the answered questions in the near future and Mess.be will try to get some unanswered questions answered.

So far the chat for today.

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by surfichris on 07-14-2004 at 12:22 AM

Hmm.. some memorable things which were said..

Most of this was before it started (Thanks to Trekie for the transcript):

Help : all componenst installed
doug_MS : Help: ASP is disabled on IIS6/Win2K3 by default
doug_MS : you have to actively enable them
Ken has left the conversation.
TheBlasphemer : *cough*www.php.net*cough*

TheBlasphemer : MSNMSGR6 is absolutely the best that happened to my PC

TheBlasphemer : notepad is definately the BEST microsoft program ever

TheBlasphemer : Well, I'd like the chatbox to be accessible trough mIRC

There is some other stuff that was said (TB said alot of funny stuff) but i can't be bothered going through 500kb of logs :S

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by lopardo on 07-14-2004 at 02:13 AM

Well, I read what he said... And I was saying that if he doesn't want to look for that funny stuff TB said, then he could just upload the log so we can take a look for ourselves. :)

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by toddy on 07-14-2004 at 02:21 AM

ask Trekie for it then. chris said he got the transcript off Trekie

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by surfichris on 07-14-2004 at 03:40 AM

The transcripts will eventually be going up on the MS Expert Zone site..

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by Scito on 07-14-2004 at 10:20 AM

A list of the most questions, the others were not important and even dumb :) ("Is it possible to remove tabs?" for example).

You can find them here

RE: Microsoft talks messenger by TReKiE on 09-15-2004 at 09:27 PM

The official transcript is now up:
