[08:53:08 AM] Jade: Keep in mind that the DMDs are coming out.  This
              should be fine for them.
[08:53:49 AM] Jade: Or do you watch movies on yours?
[08:53:51 AM] (%) ¥Òú Çåñt: DMD?
[08:54:24 AM] Jade: hehehe...I know something you don't know?
              Digital Multi-layer Disk.
[08:54:48 AM] (%) ¥Òú Çåñt: hmm
[08:55:18 AM] Jade: Storage capacity between 15-30 gb
[08:55:50 AM] (%) ¥Òú Çåñt: Dam
[08:56:04 AM] Jade: You just add layers to the size you need.  A 30 gb
              has 6 layers I think.

Well, it's like a DVD,  but with a bigger storage capacity and differently build.

Google can be of great assistence ;). Also, asking the guy what it is might work :p.

DMD picks up where DVD leaves off with its unique ability to record information on multiple, fully transparent layers. The result is an affordable breakthrough to a storage capacity of 15-30 gigabytes, sufficient to hold all the brilliant resolution of a full-length HD movie on a single disc for the best home theater experience available.

And support for current DVD players isn't going to be hot apparently.  Time to stump up the cash for a new one that supports a plethora of formats.

there are a few problems with multi layer discs though, they may triggle a slight pause in the film :)
