CAUSE
AutoUpdate window coming up, me saying "Yes, I'd like the latest version of MsgPlus please!", clicking button.
ANALYSIS
Computer running really slowly for the duration of the update download. Processor load approximately 85% - 100%. (not running intensive things in background) Goes as normal when download is finished.
SPECS
Windows Version: Windows XP, 5.01.2600 (SP1, all updates)
Messenger Client Version: 6.2.0137
Messenger Plus! Version: 3.00.0092 (couldn't update 
)
Athlon XP 2600+ (it should NOT be chugging like this.)
Windows XP Internet Connection Sharing enabled
Norton Antivirus 2004 installed
Barren lack of spyware/adware on system

have you tried Disabling Norton Antivirus 2004 ? i believe that had its BUGS in it an lots of them . i also Run an Athlon XP 2600+ Cpu an dont have my Cpu getting anywhere near that unless a Micr0sn0t program has shit itself.
