I have DSL. And the System in Belgium want's the provider to disconnect user ones within 36 hours. RE: Request feature : Status memory by Choli on 07-22-2004 at 08:04 PM If your messenger auto-reconnects in less than 1 minute and you had a personalised status, Plus 3 will restore it. For other cases, there was a plugins called Status saver, however I can't find it now and even I don't know if it's still out there. Yep, it is still out there and it still works; it saves the status you had the last time you've chenged it and it will be restored to that as soon as you reconnect.... quote: PS: What ISP is that? I know most ISP's in Belgium and I didn't heared of that before? dodgy ISP for requiring that ..... RE: Request feature : Status memory by Choli on 07-22-2004 at 09:05 PM
quote:are you sure about that? I think I remember once when I was reconnected after 5 or more minutes not sure, tho. RE: Request feature : Status memory by CookieRevised on 07-22-2004 at 11:31 PM yes, now that you say it... but IIRC it depends on what the cause was of the disconnection, messenger wont always try to reconnect you...... That is one very dodgy ISP... you could have msn somehow close and reopen and have it loggin auto when it loads up.... not sure how you'd get it to close/open though RE: RE: Request feature : Status memory by Mouch on 07-23-2004 at 01:00 PM
quote: My ISP is Tiscali, but it is also the same for Skynet and Planet Internet... I know that BelCenter does not disconnect but for other provider I'm not sure... The disconnect process is only used to oblige change the users IP (cause a fix IP is another service that should be paied) |
