At the moment, messenger plus has stopped the emotions displaying as emotions, they are just the letters in brackets, how do i enable it to show them as the pictures? RE: Emotions in usernames/display name by Mnjul on 08-05-2004 at 10:53 AM
It is a known limitation that emoticons don't show when Custom Names is enabled. Just disable it in Plus!\Preferences\Contact List\Custom Contact Names RE: Emotions in usernames/display name by pdrake007 on 08-05-2004 at 11:12 AM Aha! thank you, it has worked, well partially. i can now see the emotions when in a conersation, but i cannot see the emotions on the main contact list, is there no way to enable it to display them there? quote:I believe she's\he's on about using a substitute MSN client that allows you to see emoticons in display names in the main messenger window...However this is a very dumb idea , imo, since all other clients are usually buggy and will stop working with the protocol from time to time...
