does anyone know of a script that i can upload which, when run will produce an image of text..? argh.. can't explain, example:

http://domain.com/script.php?text=hello will make an image that says hello

the width of the image would have to change depending on the length of the text..

for example:


that image's width adjusts depending on the song name..

i've found one script, but that used a text box etc and you had to manually specify the height and width of the image.. not good.

anyone?

well surely you could just modify the script and calculate the width by counting the length of the text

If you can access the font metrics, then you can use that to calculate the length.

I don't think that script you have is very big? Maybe you can paste it here and if anybody feels like helping he/she could have a look and tell you what to change.

If you paste PHP code on the forum, then please paste it between [co de] and [/co de] but then without the space in between.
