If you had an ability to choose what signature separator you want to see in your account in the user cp would you use it and or think it's a good idea?
Edit: For example a choice between the old black line and the new one...and perhaps some alternatives

Yeah I think it's a good idea. But I myself wouldn't use it.

Maybe you should specify what the separator options will be... 
Don't make it sound like you can have whatever you want, because you can't.

the sig seperator is dodgy it makes the page wider in firefox it makes a scrool bar down the bottom i think we should have the choice to use whateva sig seperator you want my opinion this one is gay

The separator can't make the page wider... that's impossible.
It just takes up the width that's available... no more, no less.

It takes the size of the current page when loaded, so like if it's maximized, and you make it smaller, the sig seperator is still the same size as the maximized window. At least that's how it is in FF.

Personally, I think a choice in the user cp is over the top of a signature divider. TBH.. Its a line... get over it?

I really doubt that he will do this, it will just look out of place, just leave it like this, if you don't then the forum will look 'messy'

Like I said before, I prefer KeyStorm's idea. However, it's not a big deal, so I don't think we need an option for it, I can get used to it.

Hmm... I was checking the current source code and I think the easier way to implement KeyStorm's idea would be making the separator as an image and putting it inside a table.
Check this out (I attached the separator image):

lopardo, that wouldn't work, because MyBB has cellpadding in the tables. Even if you put a 100% width table inside the cell, it won't be 100%.

Yes it works, I tried it locally (removed the dashed border from the CSS and inserted the table inside the signature DIV). Check the attached picture.

You can see yourself that that doesn't work (at least it isn't like KeyStorm's suggestion) The horizontal line doesn't touch the vertical edges of the cell. I think that's what WDZ means.

U guys really arethat much about a line? does it realy matter WHAT separates ur post from ur sig? Is there something about the current line that prevents it from functioning properly??
Why don't u just drop it, leave it alone for a month, and then think if it really matters. I'm sure WDZ ahs better things to do than sit here trying to add all your tiny little "wants." Let the guy do what he wants, and not what one person (no one is particular) thinks would be a good idea.

IMO, it fades to easily into the background and doesn't fit in very well, if I could mod it, I'd make it a tad darker...
