sorry of this has been posted before but i couldnt find it so here goes.....
say im chatting to someone (lets call him john ) and i have his custom name as john but his display name is blahblahblah
now if i type /slap then it says:
leejeffery slaps john with a large smelly tuna fish
well this is what i would expect with custom names on
but if custom names is turned off and u have a custom name set for somebody if u use quicktexts it still displays:
leejeffery slaps john with a large smelly tuna fish
instead of:
leejeffery slaps blahblahblah with a large smelly tuna fish

i hope u undertstand what i mean

I don't get what you mean...
The custom name remains 'active' in the /slap but isn't in the contact list right?

yeh thats what i mean
everywhere else like:
username says:
contact list
at the top of the convo
when they sign in
in all of these they appear as blahblahblah
but in a quicktext it shows their custom name when its turned off
