I saw a cool feature that the Graphic Forums use. when some one double posts it just adds to the post that was already posted. i thought that this could be used here because of the recent err increase of spammin on the board ... just an idea

yeah it is a cool idea, but it would mean work to do for wdz, and as he is lazy........ :chrongue:

nice idea.... I like it also....

but it should also taken in consideration that you still would be able to post double when both posts contain an attachment... (or "multiple attachments in 1 post"-feature maybe?)

Those multiple attachments (well similar ones) can be found in MyBB RC3.

That feature sounds pretty cool, i might look in to it a bit more later :)

I really like this idea, it's really annoying to have to tell someone when they're double posting, especially the more n00bish members who say "nor dats a stupid rle"...I'd love to see this included, and if it could be combined to make a double post with attachments on each to become a multiple attachment single post (with the multiple attachments of MyBB RC3), ultra-fantastic...

So when someone else posts after the users post, when the user posts, it's another post and not added to the other post?

maybe, when some1 double posts, his post gets added to the previous post. That would be even better

Blah... I coded an improved version of MyBB RC3's "Merge Selective Posts" mod tool and implemented it like a month ago... if I added this, it would make my mod tool pretty useless... :-/

well if you impliment this then you would have less work merging posts manually... it would be automatic... and automatic is always better than manual right WDZ? riiight ????

Not necessarily... some things are best done by a person... :p

I still think double posting should be allowed in some cases... I haven't thought of a good way to add an option yet though...

You can, you click the edit post button, then you copy the contents of your old post there, update that post and delete the other one.. :p

i thought its just an easier way of adding on to posts, cause  you can just use the quick reply box insted of editing and such
