cant wait for the writers! but they will b EXPENSIVE! RE: New holographic discs look like a DVD but hold a terabyte. by user27089 on 08-28-2004 at 09:01 AM I doubt that they will be sold to the general public for a while, they never are after such a discovery. When they do come out, people may sell them full of warez for quite a bit of money , then again thats always been a problem hasn't it. I think this is cool, but I doubt they will be selling for a small price when the come out, probably much more. Certainly not 'normal' size hard drives offering this. You might be able to use the same drives but have to use some special software... RE: New holographic discs look like a DVD but hold a terabyte. by reisyboy on 08-29-2004 at 11:30 PM No it will probably be a different drive system, like how DVD Drives replaced normal CD Rom - however it odds are you wil get backwards comptable drive's e.g. ones that play DVD Rom and CD Rom RE: New holographic discs look like a DVD but hold a terabyte. by DJeX on 08-30-2004 at 05:39 AM
