I am planning to have 2 firewalls. RE: 2 firewalls? by cooldude_i06 on 08-31-2004 at 06:59 AM
bad choice especially if one of those is the Windows Firewall. RE: 2 firewalls? by Pyroteq on 08-31-2004 at 08:56 AM i have 2 firewalls...Norton Internet security and Zonealarm EZ Firewall lite both on the same computer ive only been using them both for 2 days but its working fine RE: 2 firewalls? by Millenium_edition on 08-31-2004 at 10:09 AM it's pointless doing that, as they both do the same... proxying every connection and filtering connections/packets. It will just slow down your connection and your system. RE: RE: 2 firewalls? by Hank on 08-31-2004 at 10:19 AM
quote: why run 2 Firewalls?.. just get a Router . any decent hacker can bypass software firewall(s) ..one could prolly say how bout i Use 2 Dicks., but why would i need the 2nd one? RE: 2 firewalls? by Wabz on 08-31-2004 at 11:53 AM True Software firewalls are about as much use as an electric kettle on a Gas fire. There alright for just a single machine as hackers really dont have any reason to penetrate your system. If your looking for security buy a router firewall or have a dedicated computer protecting your machines (I use something called Astro Sec Security Linux) it doesnt need to be anything more than a 486 either tbh RE: 2 firewalls? by cooldude_i06 on 09-01-2004 at 06:19 AM yeah, u can have as many firewalls as u want, but if they all suck, theres no point, instead just get one good firewall RE: RE: 2 firewalls? by Pyroteq on 09-01-2004 at 07:11 AM
